Para Hills Centre


The Para Hills Centre (PHC) is a friendly leisure centre situated next to Para Hills Library and a small set of shops.

The centre offers a unique blend of programs, activities and services on Tuesdays and Thursdays for older people and younger people with a disability.

The Para Hills Club is a social support group for frail, older people available on Mondays and Fridays. The program includes interesting activities, guest speakers, morning tea and lunch.

Getting there

The Para Hills Centre is located within the Para Hills Library Complex. A number of bus routes service the surrounding area. A car park is available for use. For further details and current timetable please visit 

What's on at the Para Hills Centre

The Para Hills Centre offers a range of programs through its Community days, the Para Hills Club and other activities hosted by external hirers.




Mondays and Fridays
Para Hills Club - catering for isolated and frail older people (entry criteria applies)

Café Services

On a Tuesday the cafe serves nutritious, affordable and tasty meals for lunch. Daily specials are available in addition to a menu of alternatives. Meals are served promptly at 12 noon; please telephone in orders before 11:00am on 8258 7286.

Frozen Meal Service

A variety of meals are available for members to purchase. Meals can be purchased during Centre opening hours.


A membership fee applies to attend programs at the centre. The Membership period aligns with the financial year July - June each year. Membership gives you access to our programs at any of our three Over 50's leisure centres.

Our staff can also give you information about help at home through Home Assist and the Housing Support Program. This may include support with cleaning, shopping, home maintenance and modifications, gardening, social trips and transport.

Membership can be obtained by visiting the Para Hills Centre or the Jack Young Centre and completing the appropriate form. Please note that you don't have to be a member to come in for meals that are open to the public on a Tuesday. Pre-ordering required.
