Morella Community Centre

This hidden gem is a hive of community activity. Set back from the road, it shares a large tree studded car park with the Gardens Recreation Centre and Swimming Centre.

Boasting a spacious and relaxing native garden, innovative learning programs and the Morella Kitchen Garden project, the Centre is a vibrant and exciting place to be.

Lutheran Community Care

Lutheran Community Care’s New Neighbours Settlement Support team is working in partnership with the City of Salisbury/Morella Community Centre and Parafield Gardens Children’s Centre to provide accessible support services in the Parafield Gardens locality to humanitarian entrants and some Family visa holders (eligibility criteria apply) who have lived in Australia less than five years.

People from this cohort seeking general assistance with their settlement in Australia can visit Rashmika at Morella Community Centre (90 Kings Road Parafield Gardens) to explore a broad range of supports and referrals. Mothers from this cohort with young children can attend a Women’s Social Club that is being hosted at Parafield Gardens Children’s Centre (9 Casuarina Drive Parafield Gardens) on Wednesday mornings during term time. Please call Lutheran Community Care on 8269 9300 to enquire about service availability beforehand.

Alongside this activity, the service offers casework support to this cohort at the Family Zone Hub located in the Ingle Farm Primary School (2 Belalie Road Ingle Farm).

Lutheran Community Care’s work with humanitarian entrants and their families is funded and supported by the Department of Social Services. Please contact 8269 9300 to speak with Rashmika or Farzaneh about the services that Lutheran Community Care is currently providing in the Salisbury Council region.
