Burton Community Centre

 Located in the heart of Burton next to Springbank Plaza Shopping Centre the Burton Community Centre has been a vital part of the community since it opened in 1990. It is a local community centre that provides space for local residents to come together, learn, engage and participate in community building activities.

They provide:

  • Employment Training
  • Fitness and Leisure programs
  • Personal Development
  • Volunteering Opportunities
  • Hall and Venue Hire

The air-conditioned hall comfortably accommodates approximately 90 people with all kitchen facilities and outdoor areas included with hires. There are also several other rooms available for hire on request such as Meeting Rooms 1,2 & 3 and a Computer Room.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Class

Work group

Come along to the Burton Community Centre to get involved in our ESL classes.

Would you like to improve your English language skills? This course aims to assist non English speaking students to communicate socially. This course will help you to improve your skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing, further providing you the skills necessary toward employment and or further training. Explore new friendships and develop social skills along the way.

Tuesdays 12.30pm to 2.30pm (during school term)

International Café

Celebrate the vibrant, diverse cultures of Adelaide at a special multicultural morning tea held each week.

Come along and meet people from around the world, establish new friendships, and enjoy engaging conversation. Share one another’s cultures through traditional food, fascinating stories and weekly guest speakers. This program is focused on engaging the culturally diverse members of the community to build greater awareness of multiculturalism as well as promoting community harmony, safe spaces and avoid social isolation.

Every Wednesday 11.30am-1pm
Cost: FREE (children under 5 welcome)
