Amateur fishers will converge on Mawson Lakes on Sunday 14 April to take part in one of South Australia’s most loved fishing competitions.

The free Carp Fishing Competition is a highlight of Council’s ‘Salisbury Plays’ initiative which encourages people to head outside to discover the many parks and reserves in the Salisbury community.

Salisbury Plays is a fantastic opportunity for the community to enjoy some of the wonderful places and activities on offer within the Salisbury area,” said Mayor Gillian Aldridge, OAM.

Salisbury Plays will arrive at Mawson Lakes Boulevard from 12-3pm for games, sports, fun and food with free activities including sports, games, competitions, jumping castles, face painting, live performances and information stalls on your local services.

The Game Fishing Club of South Australia Carp Fishing Competition begins at 8am.
