The Prime Minister and the Heart Foundation has announced an exciting new campaign to help Australians get walking.

The Prime Minister’s One million steps asks participants to walk towards One million steps or 100 group walks (with existing Heart Foundation Walking groups) in 20 weeks.

Please note that the Heart Foundation Walking app will only link to these step counters : Apple Health, Google Fit or Fitbit.

As you walk, you will be rewarded for reaching step or group walk milestones – all walkers who reach one million steps or 100 group walks, and they’ll enter the major prize draw to win an Auswalk holiday.

The Prime Minister’s One million steps is held from 25 March to 11 August 2018.

Taking part is easy:

  • Individual walkers can simply download the Heart Foundation Walking app. Once they register, the app will sync with their step counter (Apple Health, Google Fit or Fitbit) and will automatically enter the walker into prize draws when they reach major milestones
  • Group walkers can take part with their Heart Foundation Walking group. When each walker meets a major milestone they’ll be entered into the prize draws.

We’d love you to help us spread the word, and encourage your community to get walking with us. The Prime Minister’s One million steps provides a fun, free and motivating way for people in your community to introduce activity into their lives – and keep walking for life.
