Levels Ward Supplementary Election

Due to the resignation of a member of the Council, a supplementary election was necessary to fill the vacancy of Councillor for Levels Ward.

You were entitled to vote in the election if you are on the State electoral roll.  If you have recently turned 18 or changed your residential or postal address you must have completed an electoral enrolment form, available from post offices or online at www.ecsa.sa.gov.au.

Council's voters roll for this supplementary election closed at 5pm on Tuesday 28 February 2017.

Nominations to fill the vacancy closed at 12 noon on Thursday 6 April 2017 and eight nominations were received. 

The election was conducted entirely by post with the poll closing at 12 noon on Monday 8 May 2017. 

The Electoral Commission SA has made final declaration of the Levels Ward Supplementary Election and has confirmed the election of Cr Beau Brug. 

Cr Brug was officially sworn in at the Council Meeting on Monday 22 May and joins Cr Steve White as the representative for Levels Ward, which incorporates the suburbs of Cavan, Dry Creek (east of Salisbury Highway), Mawson Lakes (east of Salisbury Highway), Parafield, Parafield Gardens (east of Salisbury Highway) and Pooraka (south of Montague Road).
