Imagine a new Burton Community Hub...

How do we make it a great place for community to learn, meet, be active and play?

Community hubs are flexible spaces that provide a diversity of uses such as sport, classes, meetings and cultural activities at one location. Council has already developed community hubs at Mawson Lakes, Ingle Farm, Para Hills and the Salisbury City Centre.

The Burton Community Hub site is directly adjacent the Springbank Plaza Shopping Centre, car park, a playground and playing fields and clubrooms.

The upgraded Burton Community Hub will continue to include a community centre, access for sporting clubs and playing fields. Council wants to understand the form these will take as well as other opportunities at the site. It could mean repurposing existing buildings or creating a new facility.

Council would like to capture your ideas and experience so that we can plan for the future Burton Community Hub and its surrounds. You might like to provide ideas for the future about the function of the building, the surrounding open space and landscaping, access to and from the Centre, as well as the activities and servcies you would like to access from the Hub in the future.

Your input will be used to create a draft concept plan which will be brought back to the community for consultation.

Your feedback

The City of Salisbury wants your help to develop a draft concept plan for the upgrade of the Burton Community Centre into a Community Hub.

You can provide your feedback and ideas by completing an online survey here: Have Your Say
The survey will close 5pm, Wednesday 5 August 2020.
