Supporting businesses in the City of Salisbury

Submissions close at 05:00PM on Friday 29 December 2017

The City of Salisbury is a progressive, proactive and pro-business city, with the State’s fourth largest local economy.  Already home to a host of international firms, flourishing small businesses and entrepreneurs, Council recognises that our business sector has a key role in our growth and is committed to supporting industry, development and investment, and working with other levels of Government to promote the interests of business.

To ensure that we remain a location of choice for business, there is a need to support a business environment that attracts investment and supports job creation.

Recognising that job creation will come from the investment choices of the private and public sector, Council’s City Plan 2030 contains a critical action to ‘further our reputation as a business friendly Council by reforming our processes and how we work with business in the City.’

Over the past twelve months a range of initiatives have occurred that seek to remove Council barriers for businesses that wish to create jobs and invest in Salisbury.  And there is more that we can do.  That is why we are asking our local community, both business and residents:

If the City of Salisbury could do one thing to drive economic development through business growth or investment in this region, what would it be?
